How is Infertility Diagnosed and Treated in Women?

For determining if a person is infertile, the doctors generally first ask a few questions to them about their health history, sexual habits, and medications. Once they are done with this, then they would ask you to undergo a few tests to learn about the exact issue that has been causing your problem. To go through these tests, you would generally have to take the help of a fertility clinic for women.

Diagnosis Procedures
The diagnostic procedures for men and women are generally different. Here are some of the specific fertility tests, which a woman has to go through.
·        Ovulation Test: This is a type of blood test, which measures your hormonal levels to determine if you are ovulating or not. If this test detects that you are not ovulating, then that means you probably are suffering from infertility.
·        Ovarian Reserve Testing: Due to some health issues, sometimes a woman's ovary cannot produce enough eggs. This situation can also lead to infertility. So, to detect this issue, your doctor would ask you to go to a female fertility clinic and undergo ovarian reserve testing. It helps the doctors to measure the number of eggs that are available for ovulating.
·        Imaging Tests: If any underlying health condition is causing your issue, then the doctors would also ask you to undergo some imaging tests to determine the root of the issue. Among these tests, pelvic ultrasound is the most common one. If this test fails to detect anything, then you might have to undergo yet another yet imaging test, which is known as Sonohysterogram. It generally used to examine the uterus in a detailed manner.
·        Hysteroscopy: Depending on the signs and symptoms, the doctor may also request you to undergo hysteroscopy to look for any uterus issues. During this diagnostic procedure, the doctor in the female fertility clinic would insert a thin device in your cervix to detect any possible abnormalities.

However, not everyone needs to undergo all these hassles to understand their condition. So, to know exactly what you will have to do, make sure to consult with Dr Shivani Sachdev Gour. She is a world-renowned gynecologist and widely known for her expertise in this field. If you want to meet her, then you can visit the SCI IVF Centre Noida.

Infertility Treatments
Most of the women generally need only one or two therapies to get rid of their infertility issues. However, a few women, who are at a critical condition, require more than three treatments to conceive. Here are some of the treatment procedures.
·        Intrauterine Insemination: During IUI, the doctors generally place healthy sperm directly in the uterus to help the eggs in the ovary get fertilized.
·        IVF: In this procedure, the fertility clinic for women takes the eggs from your ovary and fertilizes them with sperms in a lab.
·        Surgery: If a blocked fallopian tube is causing your infertility, then you would have to go through surgeries to unblock it and restore your condition.

Hence, these were some of the ways, in which, infertility can be diagnosed and treated.
